Children’s Privacy

Chaperones
We understand that some consultations, examinations, and treatments may feel personal or intimate in nature. You are welcome to request a chaperone at any stage of your appointment, before or during your visit and a trained member of our team will be happy to act in this role. You may also bring a relative, friend, or carer to accompany you if you prefer.
Requesting a chaperone will never affect the care or treatment you receive. If a chaperone is not available at the time of your appointment, we will offer to rearrange your appointment for a time when one can be present, unless a delay would not be in the best interests of your health.
In some circumstances, your practitioner may also ask for a chaperone to be present. Where a chaperone is present, a note of this will be made in your treatment record, including the chaperone’s identity. Chaperones are bound by the same duty of confidentiality as all our staff, and any personal information they are exposed to during your appointment is treated in accordance with this privacy policy.
If you would like a chaperone for your appointment, please let us know when booking or speak to any member of our team.
Accessibility
We are committed to making our clinic and services accessible to everyone. Visiting the clinic. If you have any concerns about physical access, or need assistance during your visit, please contact us before your appointment and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. The clinic is based on the first floor and we offer Home Visits to those patients that cannot attend.
Communication and information needs. In line with the Accessible Information Standard, we want to ensure you can understand the information we provide and communicate with us in the way that works best for you. If you have any information or communication needs – for example, if you need information in large print or easy-read format, would benefit from a hearing loop or an interpreter (including British Sign Language), or need extra time or support during appointments – please tell us when you book or at any point in your care. We will record your needs in your patient record so that they are met at every visit, and we will only share this information in line with the rest of this privacy policy.
If there is anything else we can do to make your visit easier, please ask – we will always try to make reasonable adjustments to meet your needs.
Feedback & Complaints
We want every visit to The Lymph Clinic to feel safe, professional and caring but if something hasn’t gone as it should, please tell us. You can raise a concern with any member of the team in person, by phone, or by email at info@thelymphclinic.co.uk. If you prefer, a relative, friend or carer can contact us on your behalf with your consent.
We’ll acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and give you a full response within 20 working days. If we need longer to look into things properly, we’ll let you know why and when to expect our reply. Your complaint will be handled confidentially, investigated fairly by our Registered Manager, and it will never affect the care you receive from us.
If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can ask for a review by a director who wasn’t involved. Every complaint helps us improve, and we’re grateful to anyone who takes the time to share their experience.
